Hi 👋

"Two quarters of negative GDP signals a recession!"

"The housing market is going to crash!"

"Here's 10 ways to recession-proof your startup!"

"The wealth transfer is coming, capitalize now or stay broke forever!"

Ugh, stop it.

It feels like we hear, and read, things like this everyday — especially on Twitter.

It's a weird time. Some people are losing their jobs due to mass layoffs, while others are losing their luggage somewhere in Europe due to a travel surge.

Sometimes things don't make sense. And that's okay.

Sometimes we forget that there is abundance in this world. There will always be another job, another way to make a living, another place to live, another marketing opportunity, another lover.

During recessions, many people forget this. They start to close themselves, panic, and fight.

But you have to remind yourself that recessions are the worst time to fight for demand. Instead, they are the best time for creating demand.

Be radically different in what you do, focus on giving people transformational outcomes, and know that there will always be people that care about what you have to say. Both in your marketing and in your day-to-day life.

There's a great article about creating demand during a recession in the growth section of this newsletter if you want to check out.
